  • Acceptable Use Policy

    1. Legal Use

      You must abide by local, provincial, federal, or international law, or any rules or regulations promulgated there under when using DialupAtCost service.

    2. Network Performance

      Your use of the network and servers must allow fair access to and distribution of resources among all users. Any attempts to disrupt other users access to network, servers or other resources available through DialupAtCost will be considered in violation of this policy. Prohibited activates include DOS (Denial Of Service) attacks, DDOS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attacks, mail or news bombing, among other malicious activities.

    3. Network Security

      When you access servers, computers or networks that you do not own or operate, you must do so within normal protocols while respecting the owners privacy and property. Any attempt to access the accounts of others, circumvent or penetrate security measures of computer systems, distribute software that attempts to violate persons, data or computer systems will be considered in breach of this policy.

      You are required to ensure the security of your connected computers, devices and network. This includes virus protection, firewalls and correct configuration of services. You are responsible for any activity done by your computers even if triggered remotely by someone else or by a virus.

    4. Forgery or Impersonation

      You are allowed to protect your privacy by hiding information, but you must refrain from adding, removing or modifying identifying network header information in any manner in an effort to deceive or mislead. Attempting to impersonate any person by using forged headers or other identifying information is prohibited.

    5. Unsolicited Commercial Email

      You may not use your DialupAtCost account send unsolicited advertisements for goods or services of any kind, free or for profit. Furthermore, your DialupAtCost accounts may not be used as a dropbox or repository for responses to an unsolicited advertisement (including, but not limited to, inquiries, complaints, unsubscribe replies or bounced messages).

    6. Mass Mailings

      You may not use DialupAtCost service to disseminate any email message in a broad-based mailing without DialupAtCost's prior consent. Whether a given mailing constitutes a "mass mailing" is determined by DialupAtCost in its sole discretion, based on criteria which may include the size of the message being sent and the number of recipients. Any message sent to more than 50 email addresses simultaneously will typically be considered a mass mailing, and will not be permitted.

    Reporting Violations of Acceptable Use Policy

    If you believe a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy has occurred, please report it to abuse@dialupatcost.ca.

    If available, please provide the following information:

    Failure to provide sufficient information, as deemed by DialupAtCost, will result in dismissal of the complaint. DialupAtCost regards reports of abuse with the utmost seriousness and require legitimate information to avoid falsely accusing users. False accusations will result in reports filed against the reporting party to the appropriate contacts.
